Each year between 15 and 30 students receive their MPA degree from the University. Since the inception of the MPA program in 1989, over 400 individuals have received MPA degrees from Appalachian and with hard work on your part, you will join the list of graduates.
The MPA degree program requires 39 graduate credits (3 credits per course): 21 credits in core courses, 12 credits in electives, 3 credits for a capstone course and a 3-credit, 150-hour internship.
Requirements listed here are in addition to Graduate Council policies listed under GCAC-700 Professional Degree Policies. Students may begin the program in any semester. Three courses (or 9 credits) per semester are considered a normal course load for full-time students.
