The safest way to fulfill the objective is to get inside the camp from the north, east or south and walk up to the sandbags between the big rocks in the west of the camp that block off a path to the mines. You have to pay attention to where you spawn on that map so use a third party map to know where you are and where the mines are closest to you. At least until you know those mines lime the back of your hand.
