It near to old Malayan Railway Station , Earth Resource Building, Islamic Arts Museum, Post Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur Bird Park and Lake Gardens. The mosque was opened in 1965 and named by the first Prime Minister, Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman.
