While there are a few other canids that can be found in the Pantanal region of Brazil, the Maned Wolf is certainly the strangest and the one I’d most like to see.

Genetic studies show that it is neither fox nor true wolf, but a distinct species. It is the only member of its genus, Chrysocyon.
