I'm thinking the 3 yews in gnome stronghold near the bank and slayer cave would be great if more people used um. 1 magic tree in that area also if the group would move a little.
Assuming you have the farming level for both, always choose magic over yews. Magics for sure. I personally just do fruit trees now. Around 80k xp every two days doing 10 papaya trees 1 calquat and I break even with collecting papaya fruits.
Catqault trees (72 Farming): can harvest only about once a day, but cheap and plentiful xp. I usually skip dragonfruit trees, and maple/yew/magic trees due to cost, except for seeds rewarded from Farming Contracts or slayer, birdhouses. Dragonfruit trees:-9gp/xp; 17,895XP total per tree.
The best spot for Magic trees is the Myths Guild but if you haven’t completed Dragon Slayer 2, you have a good Magic tree spot in Seers Village. Players with completion of the Song of the Elves may choose Priffdinas due to its proximity to the bank (and you get passive crystal shards!)
