Unplug any headphones or external speakers from your Mac. Make sure the cables from the display are connected to the ports on your Mac. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Settings, then click Sound in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)
Make sure the connector is completely inserted into the port. Connect your keyboard to a different port or to a different Mac. If this solves the problem, your Mac may need to be repaired. Contact Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for service.
2 paź 2019 · In settings, it seems that the Mac is detecting an earphone in the headphone jack, and so the speakers are not emitting any sound. Upon inserting earphones, the sound coming out of them is extremely muffled, and noisy.
15 mar 2014 · The easiest way to fix this when it happens to me (usually when I unplug my headphones) is: Go to System Preferences -> Sound; Adjust the slider bar at the bottom where it says "Output volume". Even a small adjustment to the aforementioned slider bar re-enables the keyboard volume controls for me.

When debris winds up under your key cap, it can affect the performance of your keyboard. You may experience things like mushy feeling keys, keys which work intermittently or double keystrokes. This is more likely to affect individual keys than the entire keyboard.
12 maj 2022 · Definitely sounds like it could be a hardware issue. These Airs are relatively easy to get open. I would certainly pop the bottom off and have a look (unplug the battery of course, before you start monkeying with anything).
