16 kwi 2020 · Galectin-3 (formerly known as Mac-2), encoded by the LGALS3 gene, is proposed to regulate macrophage adhesion, chemotaxis, and apoptosis. We investigated the role of galectin-3 in determining the inflammatory profile of macrophages and composition of atherosclerotic plaques.
1 lis 2019 · Key Points. M2BPGi is increased in patients with liver graft-versus-host disease, especially in those at high risk for late NRM after allogeneic HSCT. WFA + -M2BP–positive macrophages are found in liver graft-versus-host disease, supporting these cells as a responder of this glycoprotein.
16 mar 2022 · At all timepoints studied, the majority of the Mac2+ cells were also positive for CSF1R (24 h: 89.3% ± 3.4; 3d: 83.6% ± 2.3; 7d: 99.6% ± 0.2; 28d: 95.6% ± 1.2).
6 lip 2020 · A novel serum marker, glycosylated Wisteria floribunda agglutinin-positive Mac-2 binding protein (WFA(+)-M2BP), for assessing liver fibrosis. J. Gastroenterol. 50, 76–84 (2015).
1 sty 2021 · Mac-2 binding protein glycosylation isomer (M2BPGi) is a novel serum marker for liver fibrosis. In this review, we discuss the role of M2BPGi in diagnosing liver fibrosis in chronic hepatitis B and C, chronic hepatitis C after sustained virologic response (SVR), and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
Cell suspensions from spleen, bone marrow, thymus, and peripheral lymph node are greater than 99% Mac-2- by immunofluorescent flow cytometry. In contrast, thioglycollate-elicited macrophages are greater than 96% strongly positive for Mac-2.
3 mar 2019 · Serum Mac-2 binding protein glycosylation isomer (M2BPGi), also known as Wisteria floribunda agglutinin positive Mac-2 binding protein (WFA +-M2BP), is a novel glycan-based marker for assessment of liver fibrosis. The sugar chain structure of M2BP changes correspondingly to progression of hepatic fibrosis.
