20 mar 2011 · XXO XXX for low Bnat (G# in D terminology) is way too sharp. As on the low D, XOX XX/ gives the best pitch for first octave Db (Bb on a D), though XOX XXO and backing off a little on the breath pressure works fine too. For Eb (Cnat), the MK F works best with both the standards: OXX OOO and OXX XOO.
12 wrz 2015 · I'm curious as to how easy it is to use. The Duduk sounds fantastic out of the box, and the playability is great. Does the same go for this library? Any other alternatives out there? I already have Embertone Shire Whistle, but i'm looking for a more deep sampled tin whistle. Recording my own isn't an option (I suck etc). Thanks!
I recommend you try one, use it for your practice, and then think about a high end one if you need it later. I could see doing so for aesthetic reasons, if you're not a fan of the pvc pipe look, or the static electricity issue, or the shape of the beak being too short to hold it the way you'd prefer...
The Tin whistle (clarke original) is just like that i think (airly mostly on the second scale), but you can make better or worse. I check the tune with the app "Harmonica Tuner" and is very accurate, but nothing replace the ear.
It's all about learning breath control and getting your fingers reliably onto the holes to make the notes. A Feadog Pro whistle is absolutely fine for a beginner, and can be played at a very high level by advanced players, as other cheap tin whistles can.
21 gru 2021 · I was fortunate to acquire a 314 AW with the whistle control box several years ago. After getting the normal engine mechanism to run well, I started to fix the previous owner's rewiring of the whistle unit in the tender - what a mess that was.
