It’s also useful to ask what a lycanthropic character might think of the potential spread of their condition.
There's information in the monster manual under the werewolf statblock of what the curse of lycanthropy can bring but it's (admittedly) a little vague. Though it does change the strength and constitution score of the cursed person and mention their transformation happens once a month.
