There's a cleric in the near by temple, for a cost you can have them perform the spell to remove the curse. Sometimes you can find the best answers by making your own story about how to remove the curse.
There's information in the monster manual under the werewolf statblock of what the curse of lycanthropy can bring but it's (admittedly) a little vague. Though it does change the strength and constitution score of the cursed person and mention their transformation happens once a month.
3 wrz 2024 · Lycanthropy in 5e: Quick Overview. Lycanthropy is a curse that a character can genetically inherit or become afflicted with after being bitten by a werebeast. The character becomes a hybrid shapeshifter with special features, damage immunity, and various bestial abilities according to werebeast type.
You can embrace it and will gain control of the curse, but the cost is your humanity - you will become Lawful Evil and likely lose control of your character (time to make a new one) as you seek to build your hive of Wererats and spread evil through the land.
