Lucid Absinthe Supérieure provides a balanced absinthe experience at a reasonable price and is available virtually everywhere. Because my reviews are done on an “apples to apples” basis, I can’t justifiably rate this the same as I would a more “premium” absinthe.

Lucid took the United States by storm in 2007 after Viridian Spirits negotiated the return of genuine absinthe to U.S. soil after years of it being prohibited.
This cocktail-friendly absinthe is mild and herbaceous, hinting at fennel, lime peel, and a fresh hint of celery. Made with beet neutral spirits, it has a faint sweetness that plays around the edges.
21 cze 2008 · Lucid has a reputation, due to its muted anise flavor, for being a “beginner” absinthe, and I can understand that sentiment. It’s enjoyable and even refreshing, and it doesn’t have the overbearing character of liquid licorice while you’re drinking it. 124 proof. More recent comments here….

16 mar 2010 · Lucid’s bottle is marked with piercing cat eyes, alluding to the intensity inside. Made with all-natural herbs and free of dyes or chemicals, Lucid is a true absinthe. With a traditional green hue, it has amazing complexity, with intense herbal flavors and a backbone of black licorice.
I think a few of the top market (e.g. Lucid) and a few of the highest rated (if there are people properly rating absinthe?). I might consider adding a few highly recommended imports, if r/Absinthe can provide a list of those as well.
