7 gru 2007 · I'm going to change the gearbox on my Grasshopper mower deck (PTO drive) with some leftover 75w140 or 85w140. The gearbox contains gear oil, but the manufacturer doesnt provide a type, and only states to replace when the box fails. The local Grasshopper shop gave me the same line.

9 cze 2020 · It is generally for leak prone applications where you need a strong lubrication layer. i would think you could use a 110 weight synthetic gear oil and get better results, but i would monitor the oil level closely to make sure it stays consistent.

28 sty 2016 · I'm getting ready to change the lube in the gearbox on one of my mower decks. What is the best lube to use? Ariens specs a No. 000150 moly multi-purpose grease.
30 lip 2013 · I replaced Mower Deck (38994) spindle bearings and one idler pulley.. all good but it still needs more. The PTO Gear box is howling, with the belt disconnected it runs normal quiet but with the belt on it howls.
20 sie 2018 · Does anyone know how much oil the gearbox on my 2011 X748 54C deck takes? My manual says 80w90 but does not say what the capacity is.
