Ohio offers many fantastic locations for the public to fish, including 124,000 acres of inland water, 7,000 miles of streams, 2.25 million acres of Lake Erie water, and 481 miles of the Ohio River. Use the fishing reports and forecasts below to help you plan for fishing success!
The biggest challenge is seeking out the best location to set-up your ambush, but with a few of these simple tactics and techniques you can go out and enjoy this unique fishery along the Delaware River, and perhaps even catch, photo and release that fish of a lifetime!
Water Temps & Levels. There are two keys to late-season walleye fishing, water temperature and water levels; both of course are weather-related. In high water conditions, look for marbleyes to be found in eddies and pockets of quiet water close to shore.
The Delaware River offers excellent bass fishing, with varying opportunities throughout the tidal and non-tidal portions of the river. Smallmouths are the more widespread species, but largemouths are also quite common in the Lower Delaware.
