My goal for this vise is simply to have it as low profile as possible. Since my CNC is fairly light duty, I could afford to sacrifice some rigidity to achieve a shorter vise as the machine wouldn't be able to take advantage of a super rigid setup anyway.

8 kwi 2016 · I've used a 3" LMS screwless vise (#3767) on my mini-mill (HF 44991) for a goodly number of years now, never had a problem, and found it to be a great "fit" for the mini. It's also easy to set perpendicular to the table, using a square.
