13 lut 2020 · The love of the truth is a technical phrase used in the Bible. It refers to having a heart-attitude which values and pursues the truth for its own sake, not just because we want to avoid getting into trouble for lying.
Logically, the Creator of all things is the best one—the only one—to define truth. He is “a God of truth and without injustice” (Deuteronomy 32:4). “The truth of the LORD endures forever” (Psalm 117:2). God inspired the Bible to teach us His truth.

14 wrz 2021 · John has told us God is love and that love comes from God (7, 8). Here, he details that love. First, he shows us God's love caused Him to send His only Son into the world (9). In other words, love moved God to send His Son. The incarnation is an expression of God's love, but it also enabled God's love.
If we do not love truth, and if we do not pursue it and God Himself, we will seriously undermine our relationship with Him, and He could interpret our attitude as despising His truth. Love of the truth comes from God through His Holy Spirit and must be nourished through our response to it.
17 lis 2023 · What does it really mean for God to be love? So John writes, “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.” If we want to understand God’s love, look at the cross. That is love.
From verse 4 we might have expected "of a truth he knoweth God;" but the apostle goes beyond this, and shows that really knowing God involves loving him (comp. 1 John 4:11). The context shows that τοῦ Θεοῦ is objective - his love of God rather than God's love of him.
