APPLY FOR LICENSE OR PERMIT. All applications for licensure or permits are located online and must be submitted through the Louisiana Nurse Portal: lsbn.boardsofnursing.org. New users must create an account. Most of the required documents are to be uploaded with the application.
All renewal of licenses for LPNs will be completed through your Nurse Portal account. After your Nurse Portal account has been created, you will be able to access/login to it through the LSBPNE website.
In order to be endorsed in Louisiana after July 1, 2019, you must create an account in the Nurse Portal located in the ORBS system. If you currently live in a non-compact state, and you are moving to Louisiana after July 1, 2019: You may apply before or after you move to Louisiana.
