I am late to the party in realizing myspace had that dumb server migration that caused everyone to lose all their music. On my old page, my music won't play and I can't figure out how to download it. Can anyone help?
1 lip 2020 · In 2018, MySpace accidentally deleted the 50 million songs during a serve mitigation project. Along with music, potentially millions of photos and videos uploaded by users were lost as well.
23 kwi 2019 · A new website, named LostMyspace, claims to have archived a collection of nearly half a million songs, and has made them available to search and download. Not all tracks from the period have been archived, but a quick search brings up plenty of gems that would otherwise have been lost.
I posted the songs and all the information I knew on the lostwave subreddit since they specialize in finding lost songs. Someone found the MySpace page for the band who made the songs and the track lengths matched the ones from the demo cd and I was able to at least know the names of the songs.
It's not much but someone has provided a backup of over 500,000 tracks that were believed to be lost. The Internet Archive have hosted it at http://lostmyspace.com/. You have to give it a minute to load and then search, but it still works perfectly.
