The Internet Archive has preserved almost 500,000 songs that were thought lost forever. The music consists of tracks uploaded to MySpace between 2008 and 2010.

Not all tracks from the period have been archived, but a quick search brings up plenty of gems that would otherwise have been lost.
MySpace recently said it lost its entire archive of content up until 2015. Now, a small part of those files was rescued.
