Long-tailed Wyverns can also be killed, but they will only use their icy breath if the player is not in melee distance, which can cause headaches when trying to loot drops. Taloned Wyverns should be avoided, as they will use an extremely accurate typeless ranged attack outside of melee distance.

Coupled with the slow kill rate of Long-Tailed Wyverns, Spitting Wyverns are a better choice for killing in nearly all metrics.
