20 maj 2022 · Long Beach Public Library now has automatic renewal! If you borrow an eligible item that doesn’t have any holds on it, that item will automatically be renewed three days prior to the due date. Depending on the item, it will automatically be renewed one or two times.
As long as there are no holds on the book and no replacement fees on your account, most items will be automatically renewed up to two times. Auto-renewal notices are sent by email. The Library also sends reminders when your Library materials are coming due or overdue.

Renew items by visiting your Library Account, using the LBPL mobile app, by calling (562) 570-7500, or in-person at any Long Beach Public Library. All items, excluding CA State Parks Passes, may be renewed up to 4 times unless there is a hold on the item.
