For those looking to see whether the 4GB patch is installed, do as lStewieAl suggests: Install JIP LN NVSE plugin and type GetIsLAA in console, the result should be ‘2’.
NVSE is a script extender, which is required by many other mods. 4GB Patcher simply allows New Vegas to use 4 gigabytes of RAM, instead of 2 (because NV is a 32-bit game, it tries to use less than 4 gigs, which is a limit for 32-bit systems).

23 cze 2014 · Downloaded the 4gb mod this morning but can't seem to get it to work. I placed both the required files into the game's directory yet when i run the .exe which is supposed to launch new vegas nothing happens.
That's not how you install the 4GB patch, using a mod manager will do nothing. Installation instructions straight from the mod page: Place the exe in your Fallout New Vegas game folder and run it as administrator
6 lis 2018 · New update for 4gb patcher: Version 1.4 - Added patching the GoG version to load NVSE automatically. - Yes we know it is LAA enabled by default. This is pretty good thing, for GoG users. Can just start with launcher, no need launch via NVSE. So, if you use GoG version and NVSE, it is very recommend to use this newest patch with it.
