PDAnet Android application lets you tether Android using an app on the phone plus simple software you install on your computer. PDAnet costs $30 if you want to access https ports (which the free version blocks).
22 lut 2024 · I did a little research and found that there is a way to use PdaNet's hotspot on linux by configuring each application to use PdaNet's proxy (192.168.49.1:8000). I got it to work for Firefox, and that's how I'm posting this thread.

So it will usually work by just connect to the wifi SSID, then setting a proxy server on the devices by putting in 192.168.49.1 and port 8000. So for Apple devices just go into the wifi SSID you're connected to and at the bottom is Proxy settings, really easy.
