The router password, also known as admin password, is used to access the LinksysSmartWiFi.com page. If you changed or forgot your Linksys router’s password, you can no longer retrieve it. If you need the router password for a specific reason, you will need to reset the router to its default settings.

If the Smart Setup screen does not show up, press the Reset button at the back of the router for 10 seconds, turn the router OFF and then turn it back ON. Wait a few seconds for the router to boot up and start at step 1 again.
Reset There are two ways to reset the Router’s factory defaults. Either press and hold the Reset Button for approximately five seconds, or restore the defaults from Administration > Factory Defaults in the Router’s web-based utility. Internet The Internet port is where you will connect your cable or DSL Internet connection.
If you have a mesh system, you can tap on Reset password on the Router Password tab. You will be asked to enter the Recovery Key located on a sticker on the underside of your router. If you have multiple nodes in your mesh system, you can use the recovery key from any of the nodes.
7 mar 2019 · Once you see the blinking power light & the wlan light go off, release the reset button. Once the wlan light comes back on, your router is booted and will be set to defaults (assuming your button is functioning).
IMPORTANT: Resetting the Router will erase all of your settings (Internet connection, Figure 3-1: The Router’s Back Panel wireless security, and other settings) and replace them with the factory defaults.
