It outlines 7 steps: 1) brainstorm ideas of interest, 2) identify background information sources, 3) focus the topic, 4) make a list of keywords, 5) remain flexible, 6) define the topic as a research question, and 7) formulate a thesis statement.
The selection of the sunk-cost option (SCO) was the most chosen option, supporting the hypothesis of this study. The reason behind the majority of participants choosing the SCO seemed to be the satisfaction of psychological needs, despite a reduced chance of winning money.
