6 wrz 2024 · Lightburn uses the Cuts/Layers settings to compute the estimated burn time. I found that the difference between computed and real increased with higher speeds. Then I am thinking, “Why!!!?”. It seems when you command high speeds, the laser cannot actually accelerate to those speeds.

28 cze 2021 · Typical settings for a 20W (5.5W optical output) DIODE Laser. ======================================================================== - Results can vary, even on the same material if they have different finishes or different colors. You need to adjust the speed and power rate based on different variables.
2 sty 2023 · Cutting: A speed of 80 mm/s and a power of 60% is a good starting point for cutting cherry wood with the Monport 80W laser engraver. Maple Engraving: A speed of 100 mm/s and a power of 30% is often effective for laser engraving maple wood.
I prefer to work in metric most of the time, but if you have lightburn set to show imperial, the cut speeds should be automatically translated. You would just need to update the text layer. Originally I started with that build-in test generator, but wanted something a bit more compact.
The recommended speed is different for each type of material; for wood, this speed ranges from 300-500 mm/min for engraving elaborate text or logos on the product. Similarly, for acrylic, It may be slower, in the range of 200–300 mm per minute, depending on the material hardness.
