  1. 9 paź 2016 · Nov 30, 2020. #6. Plug the power lead supplied with the Firestick into the USB socket on your TV marked “HDD” or check your TV's user manual to see which USB socket is intended for use with a HDD. This socket can supply 1A which is enough to power the Firestick. JayCee.

  2. 5 lut 2010 · Dec 30, 2017. #4. Re the reply from JayCee, perhaps I wasn't clear. I certainly do want the USB power to close down when I switch off the TV via its remote - so that the bias lighting goes off without requiring a separate switch. I was just concerned that all USB ports these days might maintain USB power for HDD support, which is not what I ...

  4. 6 wrz 2019 · Sep 7, 2019. #2. It would help to know what the model is of your TV, if possible. On mine, I have a USB port at the rear labelled "USB IN". Note that the USB stick must be at least 4Gb in size in order to work. Pete.

  6. 5 lut 2020 · Jun 13, 2021. #2. Your typical USB port on a TV can supply a max of 500mA and USB ports designed for connecting a HDD to can supply just under 1A (900mA). So check if the USB port you’re using on your TV has “HDD” marked next to it or check your user manual. The info that came with your LED strips may mention their current consumption.

  7. 1 sty 2004 · Aug 10, 2021. #1. I recently watched a Video by HDTVTest at which describes using a USB Ethernet dongle on Sony and LG OLED TV's. Most TV's only have a 100Mbs ethernet port which is often not enough to stream 4K content from a NAS using Plex or Emby or whatever you might use. I get buffering issues. Over Wi-Fi the buffering is worse.

  9. 13 gru 2020 · 44. Location. Canada. Mar 5, 2021. #3. Hmm, these are pretty plug and play, I think they work on the PS4 as well so I was hoping maybe it would work with the TV. The CX has bluetooth already so no need for an adapter but bluetooth tends to be a little noisy and has it's own issues, I was hoping these might work.

Just why TV manufacturers don’t supply gigabit connectivity continues to surprise me, given the minimal differences in cost. Sony’s Bravia core can stream at 80mbit/sec which is close to maxing-out the Ethernet connection.
