Does anyone know of a Leisure Learning-type organization that offers adult non-credit continuing education? I know Leisure Learning went out of business back in 2017. So, I'm looking for something similar in the Houston area where I can take interesting classes without the expense and formalities of attending an accredited college/university.
The Academy for Lifelong Learning (ALL) is a membership community that offers free and low-cost classes, events and activities for adults age 50 and older. The program at the Atascocita Center began in Fall of 2012 with nearly 500 enrollments in courses ranging from technology and wellness to history, financial planning, geneaolgy and more.
The Atascocita Center is a full service Lone Star College center and provides the community with local access to services, college courses and programs, and leisure learning. As one of three Lone Star College-Kingwood centers, the 62,000sf campus opened in August 2011.
Now that LLU is gone, I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for a similar service in the Houston area.
