21 cze 2013 · I purchased a Lehr 2.5 hp outboard in Feburary of 2013 to replace a Honda 5 hp outboard on my inflatable dinghy. I was tired of smelling gasoline fumes and the Honda was larger than I needed for our rollup dinghy. Initiallyl, I was quite enthusiastic about the Lehr motor.
I bought a Lehr 5 hp motor for the 2014 season in New England. The motor came highly endorsed, including accolades from the publication Practical Sailor. I bought into the Lehr story and the environmental angle, etc.

Except for its fuel supply, the Lehr 2.5hp model is your typical four-stroke kicker; at 37lb it’s nearly 10lb heavier than the old Tohatsu and has almost the same cylinder capacity, at 73cc.
