I am talking about real games made for people playing games in Japanese. Nintendo DS is one of the most sold gaming systems, only PS2 sold more, so there are also a lot of games for it. I have bought 二ノ国 and two Zelda games.
I'd definitely check out TokiNi Andy's youtube video where he plays 3ds and DS games for a month to improve his japanese reading comprehension. He gives out a lot of good recommendations such as Higurashi, animal crossing new leaf, and more!

Has anyone tried their hand at any Kanji Learning Games for the Nintendo DS? I have found there to be quite a selection of games available in Japan and in most, if not all cases, the games will work on all DS' around the world (thanks to the enlightened decision to make the handheld region-free).
It isn't a large selection, but these games are picked out as being recommended for learners of the Japanese language. The prices are reasonable, and I even had some nice freebies (a book marker and a book called The Manga Guide to Double Sudoku.) sent to me when I ordered my books from this site.
