My "solution" is to use the TP-Link AV2000 Powerline Adapter to connect to the TV's RJ-45 port, which reduces my 1 Gbps fiber connection to my ISP to 93 Mbps at the TV, due to the 100 Mbps limitation of the Sony's Ethernet NIC.
