Many of the words used in Anatomy are based in ancient Latin and Greek languages. These words follow simple rules, which anyone can learn. Each word is made up of basic prefixes, suffixes, and roots that can be combined to form words.
Intended for English-speaking students of medical faculties, the present publication provides an introduction into the language of medicine, explaining basic Latin grammar and containing important vocabulary to be used by the students later during their studies as well as in medical practice.
