27 lip 2023 · Specifically, we use 100 samples of δ 18 O time series from the stack’s Gaussian process regression combined with 1,000 age model samples consistent with the tie-point constraints.
chronologies from three mountain ranges in Alaska that reveal the timing and spatial extent of Late Pleistocene glaciation, and pay particular attention to age of the penultimate glaciation. The most extensive glacier advance of the last glaciation occurred prior to the last global glacial maximum.
14 wrz 2018 · We applied chemical weathering proxies and zircon geo-thermo-chronometry to late Pleistocene sediment recovered from the deep-sea Mississippi fan, revealing interactions between the Laurentide...
15 lut 2022 · Locke (1990) examined modern and reconstructed late Pleistocene glacier equilibrium lines throughout western Montana, concluding that an assumed late Pleistocene temperature depression of 10 ∘ C would have been associated with decreased precipitation relative to the present.
16 sie 2019 · These spatial patterns in Late Pleistocene ice extent suggest that glaciation may be initiated in the Pacific region, before spreading to the North Atlantic region.
An empirical-statistical climate-glacier model is used to reconstruct Late Pleistocene climate conditions in the south-central Andes of northern Chile (29–30 S). The model was tested using modern climate data and the results compare favorably with key glaciological features presently observed in this area.
16 cze 2022 · A conceptual model to explain the late Pleistocene glacial cycles as a response to the orbital forcing was proposed by Huybers and Wunsch (Citation 2005). They proposed that the ice volume would be linearly increasing until a time-varying threshold proportional to the obliquity is reached.
