27 lip 2023 · Here we use speleothem-based age models, similar to Bajo et al. 8, to provide improved termination age estimates suitable for evaluating the precession phase of Late Pleistocene terminations.
24 mar 2005 · Abstract. The 100,000-year timescale in the glacial/interglacial cycles of the late Pleistocene epoch (the past ∼ 700,000 years) is commonly attributed to control by variations in the Earth's...
5 paź 2012 · Late Pleistocene. The weakness of the traditional schemes of glacial history (Table 1) is evident in the best studied upper part of the composite stratigraphic succession. Formations crucial for the Late Pleistocene history are represented by organic-rich beds at two stratigraphic levels.
7 sty 2021 · Article. Chapter. Introduction. The ‘mid’-Pliocene to early Pleistocene time period (~ 3.6–2.0 Ma) comprises the full range of climatic boundary conditions as realised in the context of present-day and near-future climate change (e.g. Robinson et al. 2008).
27 lip 2023 · Analysis using such an age model suggested that Late Pleistocene glacial terminations were clustered with respect to the obliquity phas e, but not precession, leading to the development of...
An empirical-statistical climate-glacier model is used to reconstruct Late Pleistocene climate conditions in the south-central Andes of northern Chile (29–30 S). The model was tested using modern climate data and the results compare favorably with key glaciological features presently observed in this area.
