23 lut 2004 · If you can connect to your tv by a straight connection, and only have problems when adding the switch, I think it's possible that the switch is preventing your laptop from recognizing the tv as a valid display device.

6 cze 2020 · You should check whether HDMI cable is correctly inserted (on your PC and monitor/TV). Unplug the HDMI cable from your computer/TV, reboot your computer, and reattach the cable.
1. When I connect HDMI cable from PC to HD TV, it duplicates everything on my PC screen to TV, except "video". When I play video, the video will be shown normally on PC screen but shown as blank screen (black color) on my TV while the sound of video still comes out from TV.
5 maj 2022 · My laptop no longer outputs video through the HDMI port, but Windows does correctly recognize that there's a monitor plugged in and even knows the model, resolution, refresh rate, etc.
My laptop has a port (if that's the right word to use here) to connect an S-cable to it, but my TV doesn't (it only takes the red, yellow, and white cables). I bought this an adapter to allow my TV to take in S-cables.
