For example, the “Bush Hog” brand of rotary cutters classifies their 1″ cutter (BH110) as “light duty”. In contrast, Land Pride classifies their 2″ cutter (RCR18) as “light duty”. That’s a big difference in capabilities , but yet the classification of “light-duty” is used for both.
16 lut 2004 · I'm looking at 72" rotary cutters - the first is a Landpride RCR1872, and the second is a Bushhog SQ720. Never having used either one, I have a few questions. Is there a significant difference in functionality, reliability or usability between these two models? Should I steer away from either one?
23 wrz 2018 · I have an RCR1860 that I have truly abused over the years and it is still going strong. It states that it will cut up to 2" saplings but I have used it to cut up bigger ones than that. The slip clutch really helps save the gearbox.
15 kwi 2002 · I am presently evaluating a Bush Hog Squealer 60” rotary mower as well as a Land Pride 18 series version. Both have slip clutches. I will be using on a Kubota B7800 on frequently mowed pasture grass. The Bush Hog is about $200 less expensive. Roughly $1300 vs $1100.
27 cze 2019 · I am in the market for a cutter. Looking at bush hog 216 and 316, woods BB72.50 and Landpride 1872. Are there any others to consider? Wanting 2-3” cut capacity, chains F&R. This will be behind a MX6000.
11 wrz 2022 · Comparing the Land Pride single RCR 1884 vs double RCD 1884, and Bush Hog single BH217 vs double SQ 84T (discontinued) and new 2107, and Woods BB84.4 single. The outliers as far as having slower FPS tip speed are the RCD 1884 and BH217, both around 11-12,000 FPS.
