21 wrz 2021 · Deep diving crankbaits will get bit on Stillhouse Hollow in summer. There is a lot of hard rocky bottom on Stillhouse Hollow to grind a crankbait over. The odds of getting a bite are greatly increased when the crankbait makes contact with the bottom.
10 lip 2024 · Colton Carlile displays one of the 16 fish caught on Wednesday morning as Stillhouse Hollow Lake’s public boat ramps, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, began reopening. 21 wrz 2021 · The Ned rig catches them on Stillhouse Hollow when its tough to get a bite. A 1/10 oz ZMan jig head with a TRD Tickler is a good combo on a spinning rod. The bass mostly eat this bait while it is slowly sinking to the bottom.
4 mar 2021 · I consider Belton a “quantity” lake (by Hill Country standards), whereas Stillhouse is a quality lake. Dave sampled Stillhouse with me this morning. Today, we boated two trophy-class white bass exceeding TPWD’s threshold of 15″ for that species, as specified in their Elite Angler table for Big Fish.
13 cze 2022 · We got going a bit early this morning, and, since Stillhouse white bass almost never bite before sunrise, I did some looking for fish and bait just prior to sunrise at around 6:45A. I found a few fish which looked catchable via downrigging, holding close to bottom in about 40 feet of water.
