Naujan Lake is the fifth largest lake in the Philippines and the largest freshwater lake in Oriental Mindoro and is declared as a “wetland of international importance” by the Ramsar Convention. It is bordered by the Municipalities of Naujan, Victoria, Socorro and Pola.

The Protected Area Management Board manages the whole park through the PA Superintendent holding office at DENR-CENRO in barangay Pasi, Socorro. Since 2012, the management has been improving the facilities such as birdwatching observation towers, picnic huts and toilets to promote ecotourism.
