The Registered Nursing program is four semesters in length without taking into consideration time taken to complete pre-requisite courses. The program combines in class room theoretical instruction with a range of clinical practice opportunities and small group discussions.
The program, after completing the prerequisite courses, is four semesters in length. The program integrates theoretical instruction in the classroom with small group discussions and clinical experiences in hospitals, home health care agencies, and other settings in the community. Simulation is offered for practicing of clinical and nursing skills.
The CNA/CHHA program at Los Angeles Harbor College has two parts. The first is the 5 unit CNA course, geared toward those seeking to begin as health care workers in a long-term care facility or in acute care. This is a 7-week program of lectures and clinical work.
