The Lavochkin La-9 (NATO reporting name Fritz) was a Soviet fighter aircraft produced shortly after World War II. It was one of the last piston engined fighters to be produced before the widespread adoption of the jet engine.
La-9 'Fritz' Fighter. First flight: 1946. Lavochkin. Aircraft La-9, La-11 leave in time for the period of the Second World War. However, prototypes of aircraft were created during the war, at the same time, in 1944, the first Lavochkin aircraft with a laminar wing was created.
Lavochkin La-9. Closely related to the La-126, the La-130 - first flown on 16 June 1946 - embodied a number of refinements, both aerodynamic and structural, and featured a revised fuel system of increased capacity.
A unique airworthy La-9, formerly ZK-LIX. The La-9 fighter was in production from November 1946 until 1948, but it was superseded by the La-11 and jet aircraft.
