La casting frankly charges actors way too much, and from my understanding casting pays nothing. It's absolutely messed up to charge actors over $300 per year for a membership. IMDbPro is cheaper and even that is too much.
So, I’ve been using LA Casting for a little over a year now and I’m wondering, is it worth keeping a subscription? So far, I’ve been getting nothing but application notices for commercials that don’t fit me, BG work for music videos, and student films.
I'd say Actors Access is the best, followed by LACasting. Both are worth the money, but I get far more legit narrative gigs from AA. LA Casting has more commercials and background work. Backstage is almost useless.
