Ellen Page herself, as I have heard, is a nice person but very pretentious and pseudo-intellectual, like most of her characters she is playing. And to a certain extend not very bright but certainly not naive. She knows how to manipulate her public image.
Back OT - It's my grand theory that Ellen Page needs to get her head out of her arse and start taking on roles which play to her strengths again, and to immediately stop trying to star in films about lesbians unless the character suits her. It's fine if she wants to produce them, go right ahead, but don't be in your own film - it's embarrassing .
Ever since Portner came on the scene Page has visibly physically deteriorated. Elliot has looked pale, emaciated and drawn. Page has been agitated in interviews and vulnerable.
