Here is my project - it's essentially an excel version of Alex Moon's launch window planner with some functionality for our own solar system. https://github.com/grizzlyball/Kerbal. I coded it from scratch using what I could remember from Alex Moon's planner, printed pages from Robert Braeunig's Rocket and Space Technology website, and wikipedia.
Click the "Plot it!" button. After a few seconds a plot will appear showing how much Δv is required to reach your destination for different departure dates and times of flight. Click on any point on this plot to see full details of the selected transfer.
Linked is an VBA/macro based excel launch window planner for your KSP endeavors. It also has an Earth solar system tab. This time I included the $10 QUINTILLION asteroid 16 Psyche (in our solar system) so you can play around with how KSP concepts apply to current events.
The basic idea for this project was to take alexmoon's Launch Window Planner and add a few useful features – interactive 3D visualizations of transfer trajectories, additional transfer options, the ability to enter fully customized parking orbits, and a way to optimize transfers for highly-accurate in-game use.
31 maj 2013 · What does it do? Just give it basic information about the transfer you wish to perform and it will create a porkchop plot showing you the delta-v required to execute the transfer depending on the time of departure and time of arrival.
