3 kwi 2016 · Hey, I just noticed that I am eligble for a crossgrade on Kontakt 5 since I own heavyocity's ensemble drums. Is Kontakt 5 alone worth 250 bucks, for its content? I know there are some libraries that require kontakt 5 but I did well avoiding them since the market has a lot of alternatives.
Kontakt 5 adds an impressive list of 37 new filters to the original 16 types, bringing the total to 53. New SV (State Variable) filters appear in the LP, HP, BP, Peak/Notch and Multi categories. NI describe them as the new standard for Kontakt, being cleaner than the legacy filters.
Native Instruments Kontakt 5 - "A solid sampling/instrument tool perfect for the performing musician" I run this on a Macbook Pro i7 with and RME Fireface 800 and everything runs great. So far there has only been one issue but it was solved with the latest update.
