Cable routing goes through toptube, fork blades are superflat, very low profile seat bolt - all to minimize drag. The Shimano's low drag Dura Ace AX groupset complements the frame really well.

Most miyata bikes are just solid and nothing special, but they put out a few sleepers over the years and some fun stuff as well. I passed on an old carbon miyata in my size because of wheel rub on the frame, I was imagining myself hitting a mountain pass as it fell apart. Only $200 complete! But not worth death on a 1986/1987 carbon bike.
