The BAFX unit is about the best entry-level dongle you can get, and the BlueDriver is one of the better mid-tier code readers for DIYers as it can get into some of the non-OBD systems that the BAFX dongle can't access, such as ABS and SRS controllers.
Readers only just show you what codes are there. Fancier ones can show you live data from the computers, and you can plot on a graph, like O2 sensor live data, or coolant temp. That's your bluedriver. More fancier ones can do some limted functions *to* the vehicle like resetting oil reminder lights and ABS bleeds.
