Knitting Pattern for IDF Hats. Simple Soldier’s Hat, Two Versions. There are two patterns here, one for a hat that can be knit flat on two straight needles and one for a hat that can be knit in the round on a circular needle and/or double pointed needles.

COOLING NECK TIE. When making cool ties for the Military, they are required to be 100% cotton fabric (camo, tan, sand colored, etc - bright colors might attract gunfire) with a tight weave so the crystals won‘t ooze out. Patterns are okay but make sure it‘s something your husband or son would wear..lol.
Bev's Basic Troop Cap. This is a quick and easy to knit hat to make for our soldiers, sailor, airmen to wear. It gets very cold in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places where our brave troops are serving our country and preserving the freedoms we take for granted.
For 15 years I ran a grass roots project to knit watchman’s hats (toques) for Israeli soldiers. Over the years, I distributed about 75,000 hats but I stopped about 2 years ago…however, due to recent events there’ve been a lot of requests to renew the project. I’ve found 2 good options.
