Knights Ferry Recreation Area is a large, sprawling park area that is great for hiking, picnicking, learning, and is a great and convenient area to start your river recreation trip!
Next visit we'll take advantage of the large picnic area (with bbq stands). Plenty of benches along the trail and restrooms. Dogs allowed on leash. There's an information center near the parking lot. It was closed during the hour we arrived, but open when we came back from exploring. There are maps of the area inside, exhibits, also restrooms.
Knights Ferry has multiple areas where you can set up shop for a picnic or BBQ with family and friends! The Knights Ferry picnic areas have BBQ stands, so you just have to bring tin foil, coals, and food, and you are all set!
