Close csgo. Find the maps workshop folder in the csgo directory (eg. D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\maps\workshop) - easiest way is to just search the map name in the search bar, as the actual folders are just named with numbers .
Go to "[Steam Directory] \steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\maps\Workshop" and delete the folder for whatever map is failing to load, then verify integrity through steam again. I had this happen a few times and this fixed it when just verifying the files wouldn't.
CS2 & CS:GO Map Code List. Find below a searchable list of all maps and their codes for use with the changelevel command. To switch the map of your server or private match, type changelevel [Map Code] into your developer console (replacing [Map Code]) with the code that corresponds to the map you want to switch to.
I checked my map folders and, sure enough, every map I ever downloaded through the workshop or ever played on a community server was saved in the CSGO folder. If you need the extra space, try cleaning out these folders.
