Hard to tell your tolerances from the video, but one thing you'll want to TRY and consider is twist and bunch up of the cable. Most pulley setups I've seen, including mine, the headset cable doesn't run along the pulley wires 1:1.
Just got my index a few days ago and was looking for a solution to the cable problem and started looking into pulleys. I'm trying to decide between the kiwi system, vr wire II, and the dangler. What is your favorite/best system and why?

The generous cable length of the retractable wires has enough give to lessen the weight of your VR headset, and the slack doesn't give out after a while.
