My experience is that it works mainly as a stationary setup, not a free-roaming one. I leave just enough slack to be able to take a small step in each direction before the leashes start pulling, but not enough to get choked if I turn around.

Just got my index a few days ago and was looking for a solution to the cable problem and started looking into pulleys. I'm trying to decide between the kiwi system, vr wire II, and the dangler. What is your favorite/best system and why?
I have used a ton of different pulleys and so far, the pro version Kiwi are the best. I went with the white so they would blend in with my ceiling better and love them. They are so much more quiet so much easier to use with the cable strap vs the rubber o-rings.
